Where are your products made?

All of our products are made in small batches in our lab in Long Island City, Queens, New York.

Do you test on animals?

No. We only test on our human friends, never our furry ones.

How do I figure out the right products for me?

We know picking the right products can be overwhelming– that's why we created our Skin Quiz to help simplify the process! If you still have any questions, feel free to use the form at the bottom of the quiz page to write to us for a custom skin consultation. What makes your products different than other skincare products?

Our approach to treating the skin differs from most "traditional" methodologies. We like to call this the "Natural vs. Hyper-Natural" approach. Since this is dependent on the skin condition in question– we created the Natural vs. Hyper-Natural Comparison Tool to help visualize and simplify the differences in each approach.

Are your products PETA or Leaping Bunny Certified ?

Yes! We are both Leaping Bunny Certified and listed on PETA's Beauty without Bunnies registry as completely cruelty-free.

Why do you use so many ingredients? 

Ah yes. We know that in a world of single ingredient oils and skincare simplicity, 150-300 ingredients can seem unnecessarily complicated. However, our products are specifically designed to stimulate the natural skin metabolism through the use of ingredients that either are or resemble substances endogenous to the human body. By some estimates, there are approximately five trillion different chemical compounds in the human body! So, by comparison, our products really only contain a fraction of that. But, like our cells, Bionova products contain trace amounts of crucial substances that, when combined, produce incredible results.

Are your products safe?

Absolutely! We maintain the highest industry standards in safety testing and source all ingredients from US suppliers. In 20+ years we have never had an adverse event reported. Of course, if you do experience a negative reaction to the products, feel free to reach out to us using "contact us" (and, of course, seek medical attention if needed).

Do your products actually work?

Why do some of your products say female and male on them? Does this matter?

While we recognize that gender is largely a social construct and as a skincare company and we absolutely support everyone being comfortable in their own skin– we also recognize that there are also biological differences between sexes. This largely has to do with a class of hormones called androgens, derived from the greek root ἀνδρός (andros) meaning male or masculine. While both females and males have androgens, the levels of androgens found in males is significantly higher and this impacts the skin significantly. For this reason, many of our treatment product lines offer a 'male' and 'female' variant so we can make sure to customize your formula to your skin's needs. How long will my order take to ship?

We generally process and ship all orders within 1-4 business days (sometimes orders can take a little longer because we make our products just for you!). If there is a substantial delay in ship time, we will always be sure to let you know (and include a few extras!).

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on the weight of your order and where you are located. We offer several different shipping options through USPS at several different price points. Orders over $175 ship free.

Do you ship internationally? 

We are working on this! If you would like to place an international order, please reach out to us directly using the 'contact us' form.

When will my package get here once it ships?

Do you accept returns/exchanges and provide refunds? 

If, for whatever reason, you are unhappy with your purchase you can submit unopened products within a 40 day period after receipt for a full refund. If you have tried the products and they are not working for you, please let us know and we can help you facilitate an exchange for store credit and determine a more suitable regimen that will better address your needs.*

*exchanges are accepted and evaluated on a case by case basis

Help! My package is missing/damaged/lost

Oh no! If this happens please let us know and provide all relevant documentation to info@bionovalab.com so we can help you sort this out ASAP! (ie pictures of damaged products/packaging, order #, tracking #, etc). We will either work with the mail carrier to track down your package or provide a replacement, free of cost.

Do you provide gift packaging?

Absolutely! You can add-on premium, limited edition gift packing for an additional $10 by selecting "gift wrapping" on the cart page. We will include a message of your choosing at no additional-fee. If you have any other requests, specifications, or preferences– please specify them in the "order notes."

Can I buy a gift card?

Gift cards are a great way to give the gift of a Bionova Glow since our products are very skin-specified. If you would be interested in purchasing a gift card- please contact us at info@bionovalab.com so we can walk you through the process!
